BeeFree Accounts is a Brisbane-based bookkeeping and BAS practice built around one idea: small business owners deserve qualified, personal support without the corporate runaround. Here's the story behind it and the people who make it work.

Meet Mandy

I’ve spent more than 20 years working in finance, payroll and bookkeeping, and I still find it genuinely interesting. Not everyone can say that about their job.

I started BeeFree Accounts after years of watching small business owners struggle with the financial side of running their business. Not because they weren’t capable, but because they were busy, the paperwork kept piling up, and nobody had taken the time to actually explain what was going on or why it mattered. I knew I could fix that.

I’m a registered BAS Agent (Licence No. 26117910), a Xero Gold Business Partner, and hold advanced certifications in both QuickBooks and Xero. I’ve got a Certificate IV in Accounting and Bookkeeping and a Diploma in Accounting, and I’m currently working towards my Registered Tax Agent qualification. When tax work comes up for clients in the meantime, I work with a trusted consulting arrangement. You’re always in good hands.

I’m also an ASIC Agent and a member of the Australian Bookkeepers Association (Member No. 10516), which means I stay current on industry standards, compliance changes and best practice.

What I care most about is making sure you actually understand what’s happening in your books. Not just handing you a report and walking away, but talking you through it, answering your questions and making sure the numbers mean something to you. A lot of my clients have been with me for years and I think that says more than any credential.

Outside the business, I work with a wide range of industries: transport and trucking, trades, healthcare, retail, hospitality, not-for-profits, NDIS independent workers and more. Every industry has its quirks. I know most of them.
